Stephanie is the Associate General Counsel for Compliance & Litigation at oilfield services company Weatherford International. Prior to joining Weatherford, she worked at the international law firm of Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher LLP in Washington, D.C., where she practiced in the white collar & investigations and labor & employment groups. Her white collar & investigations practice included representing Weatherford in its investigation and settlement negotiation activity in connection with our $250 million settlement with the U.S. Department of Justice, Securities and Exchange Commission, and Treasury and Commerce Departments in 2013. Upon joining Weatherford, she took on a dual role as an Investigations Counsel and Special Projects Counsel, which involved conducting investigations and compliance audits globally, as well as oversight of our obligations vis-à-vis the U.S. government, including retention of an Independent Compliance Monitor and self-reporting on enhancements to our global compliance program. She also served as Weatherford’s Director of Ethics before assuming her current role. Stephanie holds a Bachelor of Sciences in Industrial and Labor Relations from Cornell University and a Juris Doctor from the University of Virginia School of Law, where she graduated Order of the Coif.
