Latoya C. Asia is the Director, Associate General Counsel at E*TRADE Financial Corporation, a leading financial services company and a pioneer in the online brokerage industry. In this capacity, Ms. Asia provides practical legal counsel on a range of employment matters impacting the Company and develops creative solutions to Human Resource issues across the U.S. and international locations. In addition, she provides training to internal stakeholders on workplace and employment law matters, policies and procedures, represents the Company before various administrative and regulatory agencies, and in mediation and arbitration, and manages outside counsel on a variety of matters. Ms. Asia also serves as a Member of the Company’s Diversity & Inclusion Advisory Committee and Co-Chair of its Multicultural Employee Resource Group.
Prior to joining E*TRADE, Ms. Asia practiced labor & employment law at a large law firm where her practice predominantly involved representing and counseling employers in the areas of employment discrimination, labor-management relations and general employment litigation. While at the firm, Ms. Asia also gained invaluable experience as an integral member of a complex, multiyear, federal trade secret misappropriation litigation team.
