Connie Brenton is the VP, Law, Technology and Operations at NetApp Inc. and was the founder of the Corporate Legal Operations Consortium (CLOC), the legal industry’s largest Legal Operations association in the world, where she was the Chief Executive
Officer and Chairman of the Board. Connie leverages her legal and business background to help create an innovative and award-winning legal department that is recognized internationally for pioneering in the areas of strategic vision, technology
adoption, new staffing/sourcing solutions, financial management and building efficiencies by driving world class operating metrics.

Prior to NetApp, Connie served as Senior Director, Deputy General Counsel at Sun Microsystems and was Managing Counsel at Oracle where she also initiated the Legal Operations role. Connie started her legal career in private practice as a civil litigator. Connie has been active in developing and promoting the Legal Operations role throughout the business and legal communities. Connie’s most recent collaboration project is the development of the Community of Legal Innovators (LegalOps.com) in partnership with Southern University Law Center in Baton Rouge, which has grown to a membership of over 3,000 members in its second summer. She publishes on the topics
of the changing legal ecosystem and legal operations and speaks internationally on the topic of “Running Legal like a Business.”
