Whether its a civil enforcement action, criminal investigation, a cross-boarder fraud case, or another variety of white collar crime a GCs ability to navigate and manage these accusations is business critical.  However, white-collar investigations and regulations have evolved vastly over recent years due to expanded government resources and more developed techniques along with increased agency collaboration. Therefore, GCs need to continuously evolve and develop strategies to better protect their organizations. This session will examine: 
  • The evolution of the Government's tactics and strategies in enforcing and investigating white collar regulations
  • A review of common criminal statutes frequently used by the government to prosecute corporate crime
  • What constitutes criminal intent in white collar cases plus, company and managerial liability 
  • Strategies for using this knowledge to mitigate risk
