Deputy GC - Enterprise Risk & Chief Compliance Officer
As Deputy General Counsel-Enterprise Risk and Chief Compliance Officer, Ms. Collins provides advice and counsel regarding global litigation matters, internal investigations, data privacy, technology development, tax, M&A, compensation & benefits, securities & disclosures, and corporate governance. In addition, she supervises the legal compliance team and Caterpillar's Trade Center of Excellence, which provides enterprise-wide trade compliance support.
Prior to joining Caterpillar, Ms. Collins served as Lead Counsel, Autonomous Systems Division, at The Boeing Company. She also previously served from 2012-2018 as a Board Member of the Privacy and Civil Liberties Oversight Board, a national security oversight agency. She was unanimously confirmed to that position by the U.S. Senate in August, 2012 and again in May, 2014.
Ms. Collins served for four years at the United States Department of Justice, and in 2008 was unanimously confirmed by the United States Senate as Assistant Attorney General for Legal Policy. At the Department of Justice, she provided daily counsel to the Attorney General and Deputy Attorney General on a wide range of issues, including civil and criminal law, national security, and judicial nominations. She also served as the Department’s Regulatory Policy Officer.
Ms. Collins also served in 2009 as Republican Chief Counsel, Supreme Court Nominations, for the United States Senate, Committee on the Judiciary.
