Professor Tschider is the 2018-2019 Jaharis Faculty Fellow in Health Law and Intellectual Property. Her primary scholarship is in information privacy, cybersecurity law, and artificial intelligence, with a particular focus on the global health care industry. Professor Tschider is also an expert in intellectual property and licensing, food and drug law, and contracts. Coming to DePaul Law from Mitchell Hamline School of Law in Minnesota, Professor Tschider has written or spoken on topics ranging from data collection in the medical industry and internet privacy to global data protection laws, amongst others.

Professor Tschider is the author of International Cybersecurity and Privacy Law In Practice and her academic writing have appeared or are forthcoming in the Denver Law Review, the Annals of Health Law, the Journal of Law & Biosciences, and the ABA’s The Law of Artificial Intelligence and Smart Machines, amongst others. She has appeared on NPR’s All Things Considered and has been featured in a variety of news media publications, including The Hill. She is also a reviewer for the Journal of World Intellectual Property and the Oxford Journal of Cybersecurity.

In 2017, Professor Tschider was named a Fulbright Specialist in Cybersecurity and Privacy Law by the Fulbright Scholar Program. At DePaul, Professor Tschider will be working with both the Jaharis Health Law Institute and the Center for Intellectual Property Law & Information Technology (CIPLIT). She will also be teaching a course in food and drug law in the fall and a course on cybersecurity and privacy law in the health care industry in the spring.
