Bapsy Dastur is the General Counsel & Chief Legal Officer at Stolt-Nielsen. She joined Stolt-Nielsen from Asea Brown Boveri (ABB), where she was the General Counsel, Head – Legal & Integrity for India, Middle East, Africa. Prior to joining ABB, Bapsy has held several positions in General Electric USA (GE) including as the Senior Regional Counsel – Africa, India & Middle East for the Infrastructure Energy business of General Electric International and General Counsel – South East Asia, Australia & India for the Structured Finance Group in GE Capital.
Before joining GE in the Middle East, Bapsy was the Head- Legal, Operating Risk, Compliance & Treasury Support for the ANZ Grindlays Bank for the India Region.
She has extensive global experience in legal, compliance and regulatory matters for the Energy, Oil & Gas, Shipping, Logistics and the Financial services sectors including the Middle East, Africa, South & South-East Asia and Australia. She qualified as a Solicitor and holds a Bachelors Degree in Commerce and Economics and also a Bachelors Degree in Law.
