Andrew Cooke is general counsel at Flash Entertainment. He ranks among the Middle East’s foremost entertainment and media lawyers. Andrew qualified into Norton Rose Group’s commercial litigation team in 2004. He transferred to Dubai from London in 2007 to establish the firm’s contentious practice in the Middle East. Andrew switched permanently to Norton Rose’s Corporate practice in 2008, subsequently advising on transactions ‘on the ground’ throughout Asia and MEA (including lengthy stints in Hong Kong, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Sri Lanka and Syria). In July 2011, Andrew joined FLASH as its first full-time legal counsel. Today, Andrew maintains responsibility for FLASH’s HR and IT functions, as well as delivery of full-service Arabic and English-language legal support to the FLASH team. Andrew is also Tournament Counsel to the FIFA Club World Cup UAE 2017/ 18.
