Joanne is also the principal director of Axelereit, a law practice that specialises in large scale commercial litigation, corporate governance disputes, regulatory reviews, fraud investigation, employment and IR disputes, commissions and public inquiries.
An experienced C-Suite executive who has enjoyed a successful career advising across legal, risk, governance, compliance and corporate affairs, Joanne’s latest role was as the chief legal and corporate affairs officer of Pizza Hut, a brand owned by Fortune 500 company, Yum! With a seat at the board, executive and innovation tables, Joanne contributed significantly to the company’s commercial transformation and industry disruption.
Previously with Norton Rose Fulbright, Joanne guided some of Australia’s most successful organisations, brands and individuals through high stakes and very visible corporate and commercial disputes.
Joanne is a strong believer that organisations do better when their general counsel has a seat at the board, executive and innovation tables. A conference speaker, ASX200 roundtable facilitator and trainer across industries, Joanne shares her insights into the skillset and attitudes required by general counsel to secure a seat and once there, keep it.
