Vanessa Lozzi works for Flagstar Bank which is headquartered in Troy, MI and has been with the bank for over 10 years. Vanessa’s background and expertise is unique and diverse. She has extensive training and knowledge as a paralegal and the understanding of the technological aspects and challenges the legal industry faces today. This makes her skill set a valuable asset and is the main contributor to the technical success of the legal department.
Vanessa manages all of the department’s legal technology and also works closely with the Deputy General Counsel with respect to Legal Operations. She has the confidence and ability to manage legal issues while comprehending and understanding the technical side of the coin, which is why she also serves as the technical liaison between the legal and IT departments. Vanessa’s involvement and contributions to the legal department’s strategic initiatives has made the department more efficient, resulting in saved time and money.
Vanessa is also a leader in the company’s D&I Initiative. She currently serves as chairperson of the LGTBQ Employee Resource Group and was the Vice Chair from 2018-2019.
Flagstar Bank is headquartered in Troy, Michigan and is a federally charter bank. We have 160 branches in Michigan, Indiana, California, Wisconsin and Ohio. Flagstar has almost 4,000 employees across the country. The legal department has 24 employees (11 attorneys) which also include the Corporate Secretary, Assistant Corporate Secretary and the Records Manager. Our Legal Operations function is managed by myself and the Deputy General Counsel.
