Derek Spychalski is currently the Vice President, Americas General Counsel at Zebra Technologies Corporation. In this role, he leads the commercial and contracts legal team and handles legal support for Zebra’s mergers & acquisitions, venture investments and securities work. Derek has almost 15 years of experience with Zebra and has lead Zebra’s in-house legal team on numerous acquisitions and integrations that have transformed Zebra into a global leader in Enterprise Asset Intelligence. During his career at Zebra, Derek served as Asia Pacific Counsel based out of Zebra’s Singapore office, and provided legal support on supply chain activities and to the Location Solutions Group that Zebra formed via acquisitions. Prior to joining Zebra, he served as an associate at Vedder Price in its Finance and Transactions Group. Derek holds a Juris Doctor from IIT, Chicago-Kent College of Law, a Master of Business Administration from Loyola University Maryland and a Bachelor of Arts from Johns Hopkins University.
