Bennett MacDougall is the Chief Legal Officer of BNY Mellon Investment Adviser, Inc. and the BNY Mellon Funds. Mr. MacDougall leads the legal team for BNY Mellon’s retail investment management business in the U.S.
Mr. MacDougall was formerly the Chief Legal Officer of Deutsche Investment Management Americas, Inc., Deutsche Bank’s primary U.S. investment advisory entity. Prior to joining Deutsche Bank, he served as an Assistant General Counsel with Morgan Stanley, as an Associate with Dechert LLP, and as an Attorney-Adviser with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
Mr. MacDougall holds an LL.M. from New York University School of Law, a J.D. from Drake University Law School, and a B.A. from The Evergreen State College.
