Joshua Chu is a lawyer, law lecturer, and Co-Chair of the Hong Kong Web3 Association who has pioneered legal innovation at the intersection of law and technology over the past decade, contributing to landmark firsts including, amongst others, Hong Kong's first crypto litigation (2016), the city's first digital service of legal documents by data room delivery (2023), Hong Kong's first tokenized bond by a listed company (2024), and its first on-chain tokenized injunction order (2024). Currently, he serves as Senior Counsel at NewGen IvF Group (Nasdaq: NIVF) and Executive Director at China Information Technology Development (HKEX: 8178), where he has led deployment of predictive AI infrastructure and other projects. Joshua is regularly quoted by both international and local media outlets as an expert commentator on tech and regulatory matters, has been briefed to appear as expert witness on virtual asset matters, and his contributions have been recognized through various industry awards.
