Emma is Group General Counsel and Company Secretary at Selfridges Group, a world leading luxury retail group with businesses across the UK, the Netherlands, Ireland and Canada.

Emma has experience providing strategic and day-to-day legal advice, working across the Board and Exec and various committees.

Emma spent ten years at global law firm Norton Rose Fulbright, working primarily in corporate, advising public and private companies across multiple industries, covering corporate advisory, governance, regulatory and compliance, public and private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, funding and equity capital markets.

She has lived and worked in London, Hong Kong and South Africa, working across different jurisdictions and with a multitude of stakeholders.

An advocate for diversity and inclusion and a member of the Selfridges Group Diversity and Inclusion Advisory Council. Emma recently took the General Counsel Oath and actively promotes ethics, integrity, self-improvement and a commitment to human rights, human dignity and community as being as important as professional skills.

Emma is a member of various networking and professional groups and speaks at events and conferences on a variety of subjects, most recently on the changing governance environment, and how to respond in a crisis.
