Fergus Speight has recently been appointed as General Counsel at Zilo, a young fintech with a highly experienced team that brings technology transformation to the global funds administration sector. Prior to Zilo, Fergus was General Counsel at Royal London Group for 11 years. He is a GLL ambassador, chair and contributor at conferences on his development and leadership experiences and was recognised in 2012 by FT RSG as an Innovative Lawyer and in 2020 in The Lawyer Hot 100 who also recognised the leading work his team had done by awarding them Legal Operations Team of the Year. Fergus is a sounding board and mentor to GCs at all stages and sits on the advisory board to LDW. Fergus skis, plays golf and holidays on the Isle of Islay with his wife, Caroline and their two children.
