Rob Johnson is a Director and Associate General Counsel at Meta, where he specialises in data protection and leads a large team that deals with data protection compliance for Meta’s European operations. Rob advises on the wide range of legal and governance issues that arise as data protection interacts with commerce, HR and marketing, as well as regulatory investigations and incident response. Prior to Meta, Rob worked extensively in private practice as a commercial lawyer and data specialist (at RPC and McGrigors), advising a broad mix of clients in tech, retail and financial services.
