Scarlate Masiye is the Executive Head of Legal, Risk and Compliance of Bridgestone Southern Africa. She leads the Southern African Legal & Compliance, Risk & Security team and sets the legal strategy to enable and support the business to be the global leader in sustainable and advanced mobility solutions.

Scarlate has previously held positions at British American Tobacco South Africa where she was most recently External Affairs Director Southern Africa. In this role, Scarlate led the Southern African external affairs teams to fight against extreme tobacco regulation and levies. She played a vital role in initiatives to pave the regulatory landscape for the future launch of Modern Oral as well as the development of the ESG strategy that will ensure the company contributes positively to the Group’s Better Tomorrow Strategy.
