Tania Els is the Regional General Counsel of Bolloré Transport & Logistics, overseeing 21 countries in Southern & Eastern Africa from a legal perspective. As in-house general counsel she is responsible for all legal aspects within the region, from contract negotiations, litigation management, claims handling, insurance, corporate secretarial matters and compliance.

Tania started her legal career at the Standard Bank Group 28 years ago. She moved to the logistics industry with DB Schenker in 2008 and joined the Bolloré Group in 2014. With 14 years’ experience in the logistics industry, Tania has been involved in several mergers and acquisitions, incorporation of new companies and have successfully negotiated various mutually beneficial contracts with key clients. Tania interacts with external legal counsel, in-house counsel, country management and several departments and senior management at the head office of Bolloré, based in Paris.
