Marc Mandel is the General Counsel of Canary, a venture-backed provider of Internet of Things services and smart home devices, where he oversees the legal aspects of finance, M&A, product commercialization and data privacy.

He is passionate about the law and technology, and co-founded Privacy Toll Free, a platform for managing privacy requests widely adopted by public and private companies. He also publishes the privacy training program at www.CCPAFreeTraining.com demonstrating how responsible data use can deliver value to both consumers and shareholders.

Marc’s first General Counsel role was at the private-equity backed ad-tech company Jun Group, and before that he served as an attorney at Dentons.

Marc holds undergraduate degrees in International Relations and Computer Science from Tufts University and a J.D. from Tulane University.
