Deborah Rasin has been the General Counsel of Hillrom (NYSE: HRC), a global medical technology company headquartered in Chicago, since January 2016. At Hill-Rom, she leads a 34-person legal and compliance department, serves as Corporate Secretary, and oversees Government Affairs. Prior to joining Hill-Rom, Ms. Rasin was General Counsel of DENTSPLY International, Inc. (now DENTSPLY SIRONA), and prior to that, of Samsonite, where she was based in London, UK. Ms. Rasin began her career at Gibson, Dunn & Crutcher and has lived and worked in Washington, DC; Hong Kong; Tokyo; Tel Aviv; Zürich; Detroit; London, UK; York, PA; and now Chicago. She graduated from Harvard Law School in 1992 (cum laude), and from Harvard College in 1989 (magna cum laude), where she studied East Asian Languages & Civilizations (China). Ms. Rasin lives in Evanston, Illinois with her husband Vladimir and has one daughter who is a junior in college.
