Mohamed Jaber is the Chief Sanctions Officer for Sanofi since 2022 and has overall global responsibility for sanctions matters across the globe. In this capacity, Mohamed is charged with establishing and maintaining the policies and procedures that are necessary to ensure Sanofi’s sanctions compliance and to provide the organisation with legal advice on sanctions.

In addition to his sanctions role, Mohamed is the Head of Legal for the Greater Gulf region managing a team of expert lawyers across the UAE and KSA. He has overall responsibility to all commercial, corporate and litigation legal matters across the GCC.

Mohamed joined Sanofi in 2017 and has been in Dubai since 2004. Prior to Sanofi, Mohamed started his career in private practice in Beirut, Lebanon in 1999 before relocating to Dubai in 2004 where he joined Majid Al Futtaim Group as a Legal Counsel and then moved in 2008 to Nakheel PJSC as Senior Legal Counsel.

In 2012, Mohamed moved to GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) as their Legal and Compliance Director for the GCC and Levant regions. His territory included Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Kuwait, Bahrain, Oman, Lebanon, Syria and Iraq. Before joining Sanofi, Mohamed worked, from 2015, in Chalhoub Group, a leading luxury brand company where he headed the Corporate Legal function.

Mohamed is a qualified lawyer and a member of the Lebanese Law Bar Association.
