Darren is the managing partner of Gateley Middle East and a partner in Gateley Legal’s global corporate group. He has circa 20 years of experience, 12 of those years being in the Middle East. Darren has advised on a significant number of corporate transactions, working with clients operating in the retail and consumer, industrial, and technology sectors, representing acquirers, sellers, founders, investors and management teams on cross-border mergers and acquisitions, private equity, venture capital, joint ventures and corporate advisory matters across the Middle East, Africa, Europe and the UK.

Darren has steered Middle Eastern deals locally and across transactions in Africa, Europe, and the UK. Described as “a great lawyer to have on your side” and “a polished negotiator who works hard to fully understand our objectives and business context”, Darren has been ranked by legal directories for Corporate/ M&A in Dubai for many years.

Prior to joining Gateley, Darren headed the legal services team at Clyde&Co Middle East, PwC Middle East and he was instrumental in the set-up and growth of Addleshaw Goddard’s Dubai office.
