Craig studied at the University of the Western Cape where he obtained B.A. and B.Proc degrees. He served articles at Alwyn Wilkinson Attorneys and then practiced as an attorney and Director at Y. Ebrahim & Co Inc. and then Cliffe-Dekker Inc.
He later joined Old Mutual as a Senior Legal Advisor in the Corporate Law division in 2005. In this role he focused on and ultimately became responsible for litigation, competition law and major commercial transactions for Old Mutual. Craig was appointed to the role of Chief Legal Officer and Head of Old Mutual Emerging Markets (OMEM) in 2016.
In his current role Craig is responsible for leading the Old Mutual Limited (OML) Legal function and in collaboration with the OML businesses leadership, driving good governance and the stewardship of the Old Mutual Limited Group and its brand and reputation.
Craig calls Cape Town his home where he resides with his wife, Charmaine and son, Rory. He is a keen mountain biker who unwinds by caring for his bonsai tree collection and fiddling with classic 105 series Alfa Romeo motor cars.
