Nyasha Matewe is a Johannesburg-raised, Cape Town-based admitted non-practicing Advocate of the High Court of South Africa, with a distinguished career spanning over nine years in the legal sector. She has held key roles as Legal Counsel for leading companies such as Datacentrix, Investec, Heineken Beverages South Africa, and is currently serving as Corporate Commercial Legal Counsel for BAT Sub-Saharan Africa. In 2023, Nyasha was shortlisted as an In-house Rising Star by the African Legal Awards and has since been honored to serve as a judge for the 2024 and 2025 editions of the awards. Her leadership extends beyond the legal realm, having served as a Board Trustee for the Heineken Beverages Employee Ownership Trust for four years. Outside of her legal work, Nyasha enjoys horse riding for leisure, reading crime fiction, and cultivating her passion for tea as an aspiring connoisseur.
