Charlie is a partner in the Tax practice for the New York Financial Services Office, specializing in the taxation of banking and capital markets institutions. He has over 20 years of experience advising US multinational, inbound, inbound, and regional/community banking institutions on a broad spectrum of tax matters, including accounting for income taxes, US international tax issues, financial instruments, state and local planning, cross-border reorganizations, and audit defense. Charlie has focused experience in quarterly and year-end financial reporting for SEC registered banking and broker-dealer businesses in the area of tax under ASC 740. Charlie also has extensive experience in corporate and partnership tax compliance and the taxation of financial instruments.
