Ellen is the National Tax Sector Leader for the Banking, Capital Markets tax practice and also leads the NY Metro Banking, Capital Markets and Insurance practice. Ellen specializes in the financial services industry leading tax consulting projects and tax provision audits for multinational financial service organizations.
Ellen has more than 25 years experience in financial services tax and accounting matters and regularly consults with various financial services clients including banks, asset managers, insurance companies and broker dealers on technical legislative and tax planning matters as well as tax accounting issues.
Ellen provides tax services primarily related to international banking, insurance, cross border financing, global trading and capital markets, tax examination and support, and fiscal reporting. Her experience includes assisting clients with mergers, acquisitions and divestitures, advising on associated structural issues, tax planning, opportunities, and tax accounting issues. Ellen has extensive experience with accounting for income taxes under ASC 740 and IFRS and related financial statement issues.
