A member of BKD National Financial Services Group, Brian has more than 17 years of experience providing tax consulting to financial institutions. He currently serves as the Kansas City Office Financial Services Office Industry Leader.

He has extensive experience in the financial services industry and has specifically focused on taxation and consulting services for financial institutions and bank holding companies. His experience includes general corporate tax planning and compliance, mergers and acquisitions, Financial Accounting Standards Board ASC 740 (tax provisions) and FIN 48 (uncertain tax positions) accounting.
He currently oversees the income tax consulting and compliance for over 50 financial institutions and bank holding companies in Kansas, Missiouri, Iowa, and Wisconsin ranging in asset size from $50 million to over $7 billion.

Brian is a member of the American Institute of CPAs, Missouri Society of CPAs and Kansas Society of CPAs. He is an associate member of the Missouri Bankers Association and Kansas Bankers Association as well as a member of The University of Kansas School of Business Accounting & Information Systems Advisory Council.

He is a 2001 graduate of The University of Kansas, Lawrence, with a B.S. degree in accounting.
